Many NACs can claim to be installed quickly, but getting those systems operational can take weeks or months of work. SafeConnect can be installed in minutes and fully deployed in a matter of hours. The various identity and enforcement features provide customers with a lot of options to consider. Impulse Point engineers can provide insights on common practices which accelerates the full deployment process.

Since SafeConnect is a NAC system, we perform device recognition via analysis of redirected network traffic flow we receive after blocking the device. A very quick recognition (within seconds) of the device’s user agent browser information is then performed to identify the device type. Impulse Point’s 24/7 proactive maintenance and support service provides additional device profiling (regarding sites visited, active scans) to detect potential device spoofing attempts if required.

SafeConnect will immediately quarantine the device and the user will be provided with instructions on how to correct the problem. Only after remediation, and complying with your specific endpoint security policies, is the device allowed access to the network. Since SafeConnect operates in real time, there is no need for users to pre-test personally-owned devices at home due to the speed of first-time assessment during the registration process. End users can attempt network access remotely from home and pre-register (pre-test) their device prior to coming onsite, but this isn’t really necessary or recommended.
